Just finished my last shot yesterday!! . So, that´s the reason there is no new post on this blog.. I´ve been working on my Full Time job and helping the guys at ReelFx as a remote Character Animator on Open Season 2 at the same time for the last 4 months… Was an awesome experience for me and I´m really glad I had this opportunity. I have to say Reelfx team put an amazing show together!!!

I’m posting here part of a rough animation test I did last year for my short film project.

Lately, I have been playing around with ArtRange 2 and found it extremely COOL to work with (specially sketching).
The sketch was done in ArtRange then smudged and colored in Photoshop.

After spending almost a year in Italy… I moved back to my country… from Milano to Rio de Janeiro… and now from Rio to Sao Paulo. As soon as things get settled.. I’ll start updating the site.

Facial Controls

So, I’m posting here an example of the facial rig I’m trying to do for this character. There is nothing new in this Rig. You probably have seen it before. I think It’s something similar to Blur’s Doritos (Not sure)…. but in this case I’m using joints with setdriven keys instead of blendshapes.

pepsi twist talking lemons

Talking lemons…. this is what I had been working on during my stay at Conspiracao Filmes (2004/2005).
My job included lighting and animation but I also did the shading, textures and a little bit of rigging for 7 of those commercials together with a team of 6 3D artists
AND… my former Boss Gustavo Braga is going to do a Renderman for Maya presentation about those lemons on Siggraph 2006 at Pixar’s booth (Tuesday and Wednesday, August 1st and 2nd at 4 pm). So, if you are going to be there, go check it out.

I’ll soon be posting a reel with my work on those commercials… until then click below for more images.
